My photo
Hi! My name is Erica and I am a photographer from Boston who loves taking pictures of weddings, kids, families, you name it. This blog is a great place to keep up on what I have been up to, from my latest shoots, to my random adventures. I want to thank all the people that support my dreams and help them come true. Thank you to all of the couples who have included me in their special day. I have been so lucky to have the coolest clients on the planet, and couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you so much for visiting!

    Goals

Okay, so I am SUCH a dork, but I am a firm believer in writing down your goals and putting them up in a place that you will see them often so you can't avoid them. It is funny how pretty much all of mine are now 100% photography based. I am feeling really great lately about my long list because I have been able to cut it down a bit. With great anticipation, in August, I get to check off yet another thing on my list. For close to a year now, there have been three of four photographers that I look up to and have been reading their blogs daily (J.Star, Becker, and J.Claire to name a few.) I have learned so much from their advice and through their pictures, and in August, I get to MEET one of them. David Jay is a photographer based out of California who started an inspirational forum called Open Source Photo, and in August, he is coming to BOSTON on tour and I cannot wait to meet him.

It's a funny thing about my list though, no matter what I am able to do to cross some things off, it just keeps on getting longer :)

    Reese!

Okay, so I am going to gush just for a minute. My boyfriend, Reese, not only managed to graduate college in three years, but in that time, managed to grab the title of valedictorian as well. I am so insanely proud of him. Last week was his graduation and awards ceremony. Great that he graduated in business so he can run mine!

    Peabody Essex Museum

Last Thursday, I was at the Peabody Essex Museam shooting a trustees panel discussion and dinner. The new director of photography for the museam discussed the topic of whether photography is considered artwork or not and while I am a bit biased, it did make for an interesting debate.

Before they broke for dinner, we took some pictures of the gorgeous setup. It was a beautiful night and the lighting was amazing.

It is raining yummy lens flare!!

Before the staff started serving, I was setting up my flashes and actually got a great one of them from the rooftop. They work with The Catered Affair and were such a fun group.

    Mike and Michelle: Ever After

Michelle sat in a quiet room and opened a present that Mike had dropped off with her Grandmother right before the wedding. It was a beautiful bracelet that she loved and probably hasn't taken it off since. She read the card and couldn't stop grinning. This was my favorite part of the whole day. They spent the night dancing, laughing and being with friends and family, and I got to capture it all. Thank you Michelle and Mike for an AWESOME night. I am so happy that I got to be a part of your wedding day and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

I was blown away by these gorgeous flowers and wanted to give a shout out to Flowers and More Design Studio for doing such a great job!

I love these two that Sheryl snagged on the trolley!

Here is an ALBUM I made for Michelle and Mike.

As always, thank you so much for visiting!!

    Sheryl

It has been a while since my last post, but I have been extremely busy working on Mike and Michelle's wedding pictures (I can't WAIT to show you.) Anyways, I want to introduce my assistants who are absolutely AMAZING photographers and really great friends of mine. Up first is Sheryl. She has such an amazing eye and always so much fun to bring on a shoot. She has been great in supplying most of the pictures of me on the top of this blog (also thank you to Felix Rust)
