"Mysteries lie all around us, even in the most familiar things, waiting to be perceived" -Bullock

My photo
Hi! My name is Erica and I am a photographer from Boston who loves taking pictures of weddings, kids, families, you name it. This blog is a great place to keep up on what I have been up to, from my latest shoots, to my random adventures. I want to thank all the people that support my dreams and help them come true. Thank you to all of the couples who have included me in their special day. I have been so lucky to have the coolest clients on the planet, and couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you so much for visiting!

    Lots of good luck :)

If rain on your wedding day means good luck, this couple is in for three lifetimes worth of fortune! However, neither rain nor tornado would've stopped Kristina and Keith from partying late into the night last night with their friends, family and each other. Lisa and I had such a great time at this wedding and I can't wait to start working on these images. Here's a quick sneak peek:

    Ever After: Jess & Stacy

Even I got emotional at this wedding. Jess and Stacy were married at the Hyatt near Logan Airport with all of their friends and family in attendence and when Jess' grandmother made a toast to the couple, there was not a dry eye in the house.
Jess & Stacy: Thank you so much for including Joe and I in your wedding day. We felt like part of your family and I can't even express how much fun I had.

    What is REAL love?

So I was at Tamine and Mike's wedding on Friday in Princeton, MA and they stayed true to their family tradition during their wedding by having one of their dear guests stand in front of the rest and read a passage of their choosing. This, however, was not your average church passage. The guest read from the Velveteen Rabbit and I loved it.

To everyone reading this, I hope you all get the opportunity to be REAL:

"What is REAL?" asked the Rabbit one day, when they were lying side by side near the nursery fender, before Nana came to tidy the room. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?"

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.

"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."

"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, "or bit by bit?"

"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

    A Day With Nate

Yes, I realize that Nate doesn't look like he's in high school, but I swear he is! Nate was an awesome model on Sunday when I came to shoot his Senior pictures. He lives in Chelmsford in a gorgeous neighborhood, and we even managed to "stroll" into his neighbors yard to shoot some pictures of him on a very cool bridge.

Nate, I had a blast! Sorry to take you away from the Pats, but at least we won :)

    Ever After: Toni & Sia

I had such a great time with this crew! Toni and Sia's wedding was a relaxed backyard event at Toni's brother's house, but this was no ordinary backyard. It included beautiful black-eyed susans everywhere you could see and a pond with flowing water. All the kids were given bubbles which danced threw the air the entire day. In the center of this backyard oasis was Toni and Sia, a couple so in love that they wouldn't take their eyes off each other for a second :)

Toni and Sia: Thank you for including me in your amazing day. I was so happy to be a part of it! Much appreciation -Erica
