Yowza grab a cup of coffee and a comfy chair and get ready for a long post! Let me start this day out with the super gorgeous Ally handing out some beautiful bridesmaids gifts.

Yes, that's right, they got ready and had their ceremony at a Car Museum!
What an awesome setting.

This one reminds me of vintage hollywood a bit!

Not gonna lie, might have been a little risky putting the flowers on a car worth more than my life, but loving the result.

Okay, so Randall throws the garter....

No one catches it and it remains a mystery to this day where it ended up because no one could find it!!!

1.) What was your favorite moment from your wedding day? Ally? Randall?
Ally: It's so hard to choose! The entire day was magical, but I would say listening to the wonderful toasts with Randall by my side. It was the only time during the reception we were able to soak it all in and we loved what everyone had to say!

Randall: Standing up there with Ally during our ceremony and then laughing when she couldn't break her glass at the end!

*erica: I loved Randall's mom's speech (she is adorable), and all the traditions of the day that were brand new to me (Tea ceremony, Lion Dancing, etc.). Oh, and Allison's three dresses. Definitely.

2.) What was the funniest moment?

One of our ring bearers, Henry, age 3, walked halfway down the isle covering his eyes and veering to the right (bumping into chairs along the way) while our very brave flower girl, Ashlyn, also just 3, tried to pull him in the right direction!

*erica: Definitely when the garter went missing. That was hilarious!

3.) Favorite wedding purchase?
Ally: My custom-made qipao (traditional Chinese dress) - I put my own twist on it by doing an a-line skirt and small train rather than a straight skirt with slits. One of my bridesmaids referred to it as my "Chinese Disney Princess Dress" - it was hot pink and gold and oh-so-much-fun to wear!
Randall: Does Erica count? She went above and beyond to capture our special day!

*erica: I swear I didn't pay him to say that :) My answer is their venue choices.

4.) Any advice for future brides and grooms?

Don't offer shots at the bar. Good times, but bad news.

Getting down...

1.) What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Denise: Holding Mitch’s hand when we walked down the aisle out of the Church after the priest announced us as “Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell W. Butler”.
Mitch: Seeing Denise in her dress for the first time before the ceremony.
Erica: I loved when Denise and Mitch saw each other for the first time! It was so sweet :)

2.) What was the funniest moment?
Mitch: My nephew, Greg, the ring bearer, had a huge case of stage fright and wouldn’t walk down the aisle – even when his older sister, my niece and flower girl, Leah, tried to physically drag him.
Denise: Driving from the hair salon with Liz (my sister), Kel (my new sister-in-law) and Christina (my hopefully someday-sister-in-law), I had a bit of a panic attack which was partially caused my impending nuptials and partially caused by the fact that Christina was driving like a Nascar racer in order to get us to the house in time…”Red light? What red light??!?!”. In retrospect, it was pretty funny. But Christina is never allowed to drive again.

3.) Favorite wedding purchase?
Denise: My Manolo Blahnik Satin D’Orsay pumps.
Mitch: The filet mignon that we had for dinner. Yum.

4.) Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Mitch: Marry a good planner!
Denise: If you have the opportunity, purchase your dress and have it fitted at Kleinfeld in New York City. It was an experience of a lifetime. And, oh yes, marry the man you love…and invite us to the wedding so I can have a chance to wear my favorite shoes again!

Kelly & Tom | Ever After

Kelly and Tom were married at the Commanders Mansion in Watertown, MA and I was so happy to be there to capture the big day! I went to high school with both Tom and Kelly and knew them when they just started dating! Its been many years since and I was so honored when they asked me to be their photographer.

1. What was your favorite moment: Walking down the aisle and seeing all of our friends and family (and of course Tom) and feeling so much love was surreal and wonderful. Also, dancing with Tom to the song "Home" at the end of the night was one of my favorite parts. We were both really relaxed, we had all our friends and family around us, and it was a great way to end the night.

2. Funniest moment: My sister's toast hands down. She started by talking about how we were best friends as children, but that when I went to high school she had to resort to reading my diary to find out about my life. She started "I remember Kelly and Tom's first date like I read it yesterday..." and then basically read my diary entry from our first date (which I wrote when I was 16!). I was mortified, and could not stop laughing.

3. Advice to future couples: Arrange for solid transportation at the end of the night! Our transportation fell through and we were stranded, along with our parents and some friends, at the mansion for a little while. It worked out in the end, but was not how I would have wanted things to happen.

4. Favorite wedding purchase: My shoes! Even though I ended up taking them off for the dance floor, I really love my purple shoes, and will definitely be wearing them in the future.

Grab a cup of tea and a comfy chair for this post because it's a long one!! The first time I spoke with Sara time got away from us and we spent a solid hour talking about all things wedding. I love this girl and couldn't wait for Sara and John's big day to come.

1.) What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Sara: Defiantly the ceremony...I remember turning to my right at one point and realizing that there was a room full of people. I honestly felt like it was just the three of us!

John: Seeing Sara in her dress for the first time.

Me: Definitely right after the ceremony. They were so happy and it was such a private moment between them that I was so happy to catch on camera.

2.) What was the funniest moment?

Sara and John: Kicking the kids of Boston off the carousel...the looks on both the kids and their parents faces were priceless!

Me: hah, same.

3.) Favorite wedding purchase?

Sara: My belt...I have to find some way to wear it again!

Me: Yup. I agree again!

4.) Any advice for future brides and grooms?

Just have fun with it...it goes by so fast! Oh...and book Erica for your photographer! Not only is she the best in Boston, but she is an amazing person we feel lucky to have had with us on our wedding day!

Sara and John decided to do their formals before the ceremony. I love when this happens because the first look is always such a special moment :)

This was right after they walked out of the ceremony and it was just them in the hallway. This is definitely my favorite moment of the day.

We drove over to the merry-go-round in the North End and had some fun!

Typical me strikes again with a crazy wedding party formal. I had about 80 angry kids behind me waiting to get their turn! Don't worry, we went fast :)

Sara and John alloted me time for a walk in the North End with just them and I couldn't have been happier. I swear they planned their wedding around what I love :)

Dear Sara and John, I love that you share my love for grungy alleyways in formalwear!

I wanted to get a shot of Sara's veil blowing in the wind, but we were in a windless alley. Insert John's help here!

Yup, this is the girl's bathroom at the Fairmont Battery Wharf. It was the prettiest bathroom I've ever seen, so we snuck John in.

Rebecca & Mike | I had such a great weekend hanging out with some awesome couples! Rebecca and Mike met me at their house in Beverly, then we continued on to Lynch Park. I loved it because Mike told me stories of hide and go seek battles in the park when he was growing up :)

Janine & Matt | Janine and I go way back and is one of my very best friends. Janine, from high school to college roommates, you were always there for me and gave the best advice a girl could ask for. Matt, you are my favorite and the absolute perfect match for my girl. It was so great to see you both!

Last Saturday, Jaime, Ryan and I took off for an afternoon in Newburyport, where they got engaged. It was the most perfect day between the weather and the company. Jaime and I shared our love for sweet sour candy, and even though I sometimes make up my own words when explaining how to stand for a picture, Ryan totally understood my gibberish. Their wedding is going to rock and I cannot wait for it to get here.

Here's a little something different that I will start doing. Here is a look back at the wedding from Beth and Jim:

What is your favorite memory from you wedding:

Beth: It is actually really hard to pick one favorite moment because the whole experience from the wedding was just amazing. If I had to choose one moment in particular, I would have to say the wedding ceremony, as that was very special to me to marry Jim in front of our closest family and friends.

Jim: My favorite was Beth walking down the aisle

What was the funniest moment from your wedding?

Looking up from talking with some of my friends to see Jim completely bust a move on the dance floor - he really was having a great time for himself and it was hilarious to watch!

Advice for future bride and grooms?

This is common advice but mine would be: don't sweat the small stuff - some of the little details don't really matter and if a few things are off about the wedding, nobody will even know. Just have fun and enjoy your day!

Favorite purchase?

The table runners I purchased from a bride on weddingbee classifieds. They helped add some color to the tables and I was really happy with how they looked.

There is NO question whether these two have fun with each other. Valerie and Evan can make each other laugh at the drop of a hat (a very cute hat with a ribbon). These two have such infectious personalities that they put me in such a good mood for the rest of the day despite the rain.

I can't tell you the utter excitement I had when Erin and Vimal gave me a call to take pictures of Ellis again! If you don't remember the cuteness of turning one, CLICK HERE. It's really worth it to look at to see how much she's changed! I am in love with this little one. Between the expressions and here cute little voice, I had a hard time leaving. I can't wait till she turns three :)

2009 | One of my favorite years

To sum this year up in a blog post would be near impossible as it was sincerely one of the best years I have ever had. I have never been busier and more in love with my job and my life. Here are a few highlights:

I traveled to New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Vermont.

My work was featured in two magazines with a third one on the way at the end of January (I will be sharing soon)

I moved in with Reese!! :)

I shot upwards of 30 weddings this year and loved every single one.

I made some amazing friendships through these weddings and am so thankful

I've blogged significantly more than last year and kept up to schedule with it!

Blog comments have increased dramatically and only hope to keep climbing with your help next year :)

I moved from Winchester to Woburn to Medford in one year. (Now, I'm staying put!!)

I got a Blackberry and yup, pretty much changed my life.

I was able to capture moments of people's lives that they will now get to keep forever :)

Lastly, I can't stress enough the importance of this one, the continued friendship of some of the most talented people in Boston. Thank you to all of my photographer friends, especially Kim, Joe, Savannah, Will, David, Lukas, and Liz. Without you I would go out of my mind from depending on each other for second shooters, to the 2 am phone calls to check over albums before sending to print for that one last set of eyes. My life is so much better with you guys in it and I hope we only get closer in 2010.

So here is a year end wrap up from all of us. We often catch each other in pictures and sometimes we do it on purpose :) Here are a few that show us doing what we love:

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I LOVE winter weddings! Yes, they definitely offer unique challenges (numb shutter fingers, icey walkways, etc.) but wow they are pretty :) It also makes for an amazing day when you have a couple like Anna & John.

I have been having such a great week so far between spending time with my family for the holidays and two engagement shoots this weekend with some amazing couples. I keep getting more and more excited for 2010 to get here fast because after spending time with Sydney & Mike as well as Denise & Mitch, I can't wait for these weddings!!!

Kristen and Craig are so perfect for each other! I had a blast walking around Newburyport with these two as Craig and I tried to trespass on everyone's property for pictures. Kristen was the voice of reason, and I'm sure saved us from getting in trouble, but gave in at the end :). I cannot wait for their wedding next year!!

This year has been an amazing ride. Alyssa & Gary's wedding was my last wedding of 2009 and let me tell you, we went out with a bang. They are as nice as they are gorgeous and I couldn't get enough of them. They were married at the Lanam Club in North Andover and the ceremony was at one of the most interesting churches I've shot in (St. Michaels) Without further ado:

Alyssa spent so much time on the details of her day. Also, most of you know I have sworn off wedding cake, but they broke my boycott when their whole cake was FUN FETTI!!

So Alyssa and Gary surprised each other with presents, which I think is adorable. Gary, my kind of guy, bought Alyssa a sweet camera to bring on their honeymoon, and even though its a Canon, I'll forgive him :) Alyssa waited to a bit later in the night and surprised Gary with a second AMAZING cake! At first I thought it was designed by the Cake boss it was so cool. Gary like to surf so it was a surfboard on a wave of frosting. Love his surprise face here;

There was even a shark with a veil!

The kids weren't excited at all about the fact that there was a second cake:

love love love these two. seriously. I think they should throw a party every year! Julie and Peter are one of those couples with an infectious love that whenever anyone's around them, they can't help but smile. At least that's how I felt spending the day celebrating their relationship with all their friends and family. Maggie & Tom are one of the cutest, funnest couples I have ever photographed. With on again/off again rain, Maggie just went with it and wore her blue rainboots with pride. It was SO adorable. What an incredible wedding! Angie & J tied the knot in South Orleans, MA and what a perfect secluded place to get married! With a fear of rain in the air in the morning, this didn't darken Angie's smile as she was beaming with the knowledge of saying "I Do" later that day. I am so happy to share this wedding!

okayyy, this was absolutely hilarious. A few times in my career (very few) I wish I could put down my camera and grab a videocamera. THIS was one of those moments. An Irish song came on and everyone broke into this awesome dance and it ended with all the guys dancing in a line!
